Project Details
Framingham HQ The conversion of the 30,000 square foot Link Building common meeting space was the final phase of the floor-by-floor remodeling of Staples’ corporate headquarters performed by Coastal. Staples vision was not only to redesign the physical space but to transform how Staples associates collaborate. So Staples partnered with Coastal Construction to make the transformation a reality. The aggressive unveiling date was achieved to coincide with a major rebranding program announcement by Staples.
The project consisted of remodeling the main lobby connecting to the new open meeting areas on the second floor. A new staircase opening connecting the meeting areas to the cafeteria on the floor above created easy access and promoted collaborative flow between spaces. Glass fronts for meeting rooms with wood accents, small vignettes in open areas for impromptu collaboration, polished concrete floors and open ceilings all combined to create an inviting, fresh, contemporary feel that promotes a free-flowing exchange of ideas.
